I'm an engineer + researcher based in NYC.
Lately I've been thinking a lot about simulations and synthetic data for training AI and humans.
I've done applied research at DoorDash and TikTok. Before that, research at the Safe Foundational Models Lab (Johns Hopkins/UW-Madison) and the Vision & Learning Lab (Yonsei University).
I like to travel, snowboard, play tennis, and pick up languages. Fluent in English and Mandarin, plus French, Japanese, and Korean to varying degrees.
I grew up in museums and art schools. In an alternate universe I'd be an architect. My favorites are Edward Hopper and Tadao Ando.
